AI-Powered Plant Identification Reaches New Heights with PlantCLEF 2025

The international research initiative PlantCLEF 2025 is pushing the boundaries of artificial intelligence for plant identification. With roughly 1.4 million individual plant images for training and a new test set of over 2,100 high-resolution vegetation plot images covering around 400 species, the challenge is multi-label: identify all species present in a single photo.
